Biography: Nowell Miyagawa-Miskin - A Journey of Artistic Exploration

Nowell Miyagawa-Miskin is an artist hailing from the vibrant city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Born with an innate passion for artistic expression, Nowell embarked on a journey that would be shaped by personal experiences and the transformative impact of grief and the pandemic.
After completing his Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts at York University, Nowell's artistic path veered away and he allowed life to disconnect him from his art, recently as he sought solace from anxiety and grief caused by a series of personal events and the turbulent times brought forth by the pandemic. However, it was during these dark periods that Nowell discovered a renewed sense of purpose within his art.
In his quest for artistic fulfillment, Nowell found that the representations of the objective world often left him feeling dissatisfied. He delved deeper, mining the depths of his creative subconscious, and unearthed a new avenue of expression through color, light, and texture. Fascinated by the interplay of these elements, Nowell discovered a means of showcasing his true self within his art.
